IRAN – .Iranian Intelligence Intercepts Christians

International Christian Concern | Nov. 19, 2018

Middle East Concern reports that last week two Iranian Christian converts from Karaj, which is just northwest of Tehran, were prevented from meeting by Iranian intelligence officials. It is believed that the intelligence learned of their meeting by intercepting their phone calls.

The two converts had agreed to meet in Mashhad, which is in eastern Iran. Behnam Ersali was already in Mashhad when arrested by intelligence officials. Behnam was staying with a friend, whose house was raided by six security agents. While the friend was released after a few hours detention, Behnam’s location remains unknown. Behnam’s conversion was public knowledge, as he had been previously fired from his job because of his Christian faith.
