Save the Persecuted Christians says, “This is ISIS 2.0!”
“This Crucial Report Demands a Response from the World. We Must Not Be Quiet About Nigeria Any Longer.”

WASHINGTON — The groundbreaking report, “The Quiet Genocide,” documents the “Atrocity Crimes and the Systematic Destruction of the Peoples of Southern Kaduna, Nigeria.” Published by Mission Africa International, this report shines a spotlight on the horrors endured by the people of Kaduna, Nigeria, which have been ignored and covered up by the government and media, and thus the world remains unaware. This has gone on for too long.

“This is ISIS 2.0,” says an email dated 08-24-2020, from Dede Laugesen, Executive Director, Save the Persecuted Christians (STPC), a leading international human rights advocacy group. She writes:

Dr. Sayo has an orphanage in Kaduna, Nigeria. He has moved the children to safety, but so many people he knows are still in harm’s way, facing uncertainty, threats, and death every day without end.

At least 400 Christians have been killed in Kaduna this year.

This summer has been an endless bloodbath with multiple attacks in multiple communities. The same communities are attacked over and over. Entire villages have been taken over and are inhabited by the killers.

How can anyone sleep, or harvest food to eat? How can anyone do anything but live in fear? What about the children? All they know is terror. So many have been killed or orphaned. The government gives them neither aid nor medical care.

Even if they survive, they have become an abandoned generation without hope.

Every day without peace is a day without an education. Without an education, stable employment is unlikely. Without hope, these kids will be easy prey for the radicals who now rape, pillage, and murder their families.

In Kaduna, the government allows slaughter and does nothing to defend against the terrorists.

Time and again, even as evidence mounts, the people’s own leaders discount the massacres as fake news. Or they serve up disinformation and propaganda. They call these attacks on sleeping farming communities—“farmer-herder clashes.” They are not.

This is ISIS 2.0.

Well-armed radical Islamic militants ride into Christian villages, shooting AK-47s from their motor bikes yelling, “Allahu Akbar!” while torching homes, abducting captives, and hacking to death anyone fleeing for their lives. No mercy is shown for age or gender. All are cut down without regard. They burn down homes, churches, and food stores. They kill the animals.

Instead of arresting the marauders, the government punishes those who defend themselves. Journalists and human rights advocates who report the violence or call out the government’s failures are interrogated, intimidated, and arrested. In certain cases, corrupt government leaders and security services are wholly complicit in these murderous rampages.

This can’t go on.

This crucial report by Mission Africa International demands a response from the world. We must not be quiet about Nigeria any longer. Together, we must turn the tide of genocide.

Dr. Sayo and his compatriots have an amazing story to tell and now they’ve been given a voice.

Let’s all shout together!

Peace be with you,

Dede

Dr. Oluwasayo Ajiboye, member of Save the Persecuted Christians and president of Redeemed Christian Bible College and Seminary, brought this report to the attention of STPC and also reflected on the urgent need to stop this genocide from continuing any further. “This Quiet Genocide is a historically and statistically verifiable atrocity that has now become intensified because of the current Fulani Hegemony in Nigerian government and politics,” said Dr. Ajiboye. “People of goodwill must speak up and compel the Nigerian government to act or be made accountable for promoting this evil.”

The mission of Save the Persecuted Christians is to save lives and save souls by disseminating actionable information about the magnitude of the persecution taking place globally and by mobilizing concerned Americans for the purpose of disincentivizing further attacks on those who follow Jesus.

With so much of the world’s Christian population being imprisoned and/or harassed for their beliefs, including Christians in Nigeria, the need has never been greater for the sort of grassroots campaign STPC’s SaveUs Movement is working to foster. Its efforts are modeled after a miraculously successful one that helped free another population suffering from heavy persecution—Soviet Jews—by penalizing those in the Kremlin responsible for such repression. Through this movement, Save the Persecuted Christiansendeavors to provide American policymakers with the popular support they need to effect real change worldwide and alleviate systemically the suffering being experienced by so many of those following Christ.
