SRISAILAM: Setting the focus on the next elections in Andhra Pradesh, BJP has launched Ghar Wapasi programme to counter to conversions from the Hindu religion.
Seers and Dalit leaders of BJP made a visit to Dalit colonies and tribal hamlets near Srisailam on Sunday and made the locals, who have been practicing Christianity, to take oath to follow Hindu religion.

A massive Maha Mrityunjaya Homam and Punaragamana (ghar wapasi) pavithra maha yagnam were performed at Sri Arama Veerabhadra Swamy temple in Srisailam.
The homam and pujas were performed under the aegis of Viswa Dharma Pari Rakshana Vedika led by Sri Siva Swami and BJP state SC cell secretary Darsanapu Srinivas.
About 500 people from local SC colony vowed not to visit the churches following a counseling and preaching session led by Sri Siva Swami and Srinivas.
Addressing the gathering, Darsanapu Srinivas said that missioners were luring innocent dalits and tribals into their community through unethical practices. He said that Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life followed by great seers and rishis since thousands of years.
