NIGERIA – Christian Leaders Call for Prayer Against Violence and Persecution in Nigeria’s Middle Belt

During a recent meeting with Nigeria’s president, Rev. Dacholom Datiri, President of the Church of Christ in Nigeria, issued a report calming that 646 Christians in one state alone were killed between March and October of 2018.

Datiri states in the report obtained by Morningstar News, “The narrative has been that these people are killed by unknown gunmen, or suspected herdsmen, or that there have been farmer-herders clashes. All these are deceptive narratives deliberately framed to conceal the truth and continue to perpetrate the evil.” The truth, as Datiri stated, is that Muslim Fulani militias armed with high-powered weapons have been killing Christians.
